Na eigenlijk heel mijn leven al op .09 en .10 snaren gespeeld te hebben vond ik het eens tijd om wat dikkere te proberen. Ik probeer met mijn stratocaster vooral Shadows te spelen. Deze .11 snaren zijn een serieuze verbetering. Veel meer sustain en de dunne snaren klinken nu ook veel mooier en volumeneuzer. Ik merk weinig verschil bij het spelen zelf behalve dat benden iets meer kracht vraagt. De algemene klank van alle snaren is gewoon super. Ik heb mijn tremolo moeten bijstellen omdat deze snaren harder trekken. Maar ik merk dat de tremolo nu veel stabieler is dan vroeger. Ik had veel vroeger moeten overstappen 😉
