General
Guthrie Govan is known as a versatile guitarist with incredible technical skill. He places high demands on the instruments he plays, and knows exactly what kind of sound and feel he wants. His collaboration with Charvel has resulted in this second version of his signature model, a high-quality electric guitar with a basswood body and a flamed maple top. The back and fretboard are also made of flamed maple, and the whole guitar has a classy caramelised finish that looks good enough to eat!
Guthrie Govan Signature HSH: versatile
This Charvel is not for speed-demons alone. Thanks to the Charvel Custom MF pickups and comprehensive tone control, it offers a wide tonal palette. The sound is open and expressive, and the guitar reacts well to the dynamics in your playing. The American Charvel locking tremolo enables you to add all the vibrato effects you want and the integrated Tremol-No for locking the bridge offers extra stability.
Bridge and pickups
Govan armed this guitar with a compound radius fretboard, which means it runs from 12 inches at the top to 16 inches at the body. As well as playing comfort, the brand also paid attention to user-friendliness. This Charvel is equipped with Sperzel locking tuners and Gotoh strap buttons. It features dome-style knobs with Luminlay, so you can see what you're doing even if you're on a dark stage. Last but not least, the Charvel Guthrie Govan Signature HSH comes complete with a hard case.
