Built according to the exacting specifications of none-other-than Jim Root of Slipknot legend, the Charvel Jim Root Signature Pro-Mod San Dimas is nothing short of a stomping metal monster. This stripped down model comes loaded with two extra-potent Signature EMG Deamonum double-coil pickups with an active-style output and a passive-style dynamic response.
A Modern Tour-Ready Instrument
Every bit of this Charvel Jim Root Signature model has been considered to result in an ultra-reliable, high-grade instrument. Modern features like the graphite reinforced heel of the satin-gloss-coated neck ensure excellent stability, no matter the climate, while the graduated fretboard radius runs from a rounder 12 inches at the nut to a flatter 16 inches at the 22nd fret - supporting maximum comfort whether grabbing chords or solo licks. The neck has even been finished with a thoughtful set of glow-in-the-dark Luminlay side dots to aid fret navigation in the dark, and due to the easy-access spoke wheel truss-rod adjustment system, neck adjustments are as smooth as it gets.
Solid Hardware: Locking Tuners and a Floyd Rose Bridge
The control section has been stripped right back to the essentials, setting up this guitar with a single volume pot and a three-way switch for isolating or combining the pickups. A set of locking tuners have been teamed up with a Floyd Rose 1500 tremolo bridge and matching locking nut to provide an extreme level of tuning stability - even under intense strain. And, to finish in deluxe style, every Charvel Jim Root Signature Pro-Mod San Dimas comes wrapped up in a Charvel Multi-Fit Hardshell Gig Bag.
