What do you get when you lock ESP Guitars up in the lab with Slipknot guitarist Mick Thomson? The brutal MT-1 six-string, that's what. Finished with a stunning coat of Obsidian Metallic paint, the mahogany body has been given the classic Horizon shape and topped with a slice of white ash, all of which contributes to the mix-punching note definition that this guitar is able to wield. A single Fishman Fluence Mick Thomson Signature humbucker has been planted at the bridge which, via the push-pull volume pot, can flip between three different voicings, meaning that this no-nonsense shredder is also surprisingly versatile. The ESP LTD Mick Thomson MT-1 comes complete with a near-unbreakable form-fit case.

The ESP LTD Mick Thomson MT-I: High-End Construction

The heel-less set-thru construction doesn't just put every last one of the twenty-four stainless steel frets within effortless reach but extends the sustain near infinitum, while the ultra-comfy Thin-U neck profile combines with the 12 inch radius of the ebony fretboard to support flying guitar work. The satin finish on the back of the neck is another welcome detail, and never gets sticky no matter how sweaty your fret hand gets, while a high-end set of Hipshot Grip-Lock Open machine heads and a Hipshot High Mass bridge help boost the resonance, increase tuning stability and speed up string-changes all in one shot. In short, the ESP LTD Mick Thomson MT-I is a guitar you can rely on, night after night - no matter how intense things get.
