General

The Charvel company is known for its high-quality guitars, and the Pro Mod San Dimas 2H FR with its Trans Black Burst finish is no exception. Besides its good looks, this model boasts a number of outstanding features, starting with a quilted maple veneer top on an alder body. The guitar's two Seymour Duncan humbuckers have a lot to offer, especially thanks to their remarkable volume and tone knobs. A Floyd Rose Double Locking Nut tremolo completes the picture.

Pro Mod San Dimas 2H FR Trans Black Burst: unlimited possibilities

Let's take a closer look at these Charvel's pickups. Near the bridge you'll find a Seymour Duncan '59 humbucker, and near the neck there's a Seymour Duncan JB TB-4. These passive pickups guarantee a high output and plenty of sustain, as they're mounted directly onto the body without extra springs for resonance. A volume knob, a tone knob and a three-way switch put you in control of your guitar sound, and have a few clever tricks up their sleeve too. The volume knob, for instance, has a push/pull function that turns your humbuckers into single-coils, adding three more sounds to your range. The tone knob, on the other hand, won't effect your circuit if you turn it all the way up, ensuring you can make the most of your pickups.

Become one with your guitar

The Charvel Pro Mod San Dimas 2H FR in Trans Black Burst is a real powerhouse. Equipped with a Floyd Rose tremolo, this electric guitar is capable of delivering a brute sound, but that's doesn't mean it's not a pleasure to play. Take the neck with its compound fretboard radius, for instance; more rounded at the first fret and becoming increasingly flat as you move down the neck, it allows for both comfortable chords and low riffs, as well as smooth leads and bends. Finally, if the guitar's neck somehow doesn't feel entirely right to you, that problem can easily be fixed by using the spoke wheel beneath the lowest frets to adjust the truss rod.
