Charvel takes you back to the days of searing guitar solos, extravagantly dressed and coiffed musicians and stunning-looking instruments. If you're a fan of this period in rock history and in the market for a high-grade guitar, make sure to check out this Pro Mod San Dimas 2H FR. Its Neon Yellow finish, powerful Seymour Duncan humbuckers and stable Floyd Rose tremolo leave very little doubt - this axe was made to shred.
Pro Mod San Dimas 2H FR: a versatile electric guitar
Judging by the model's push/pull potentiometer, tonal variation was obviously a main concern when Charvel developed the Pro Mod San Dimas. Pull up the guitar's volume knob to split the bridge humbucker's coils, resulting in a typical single-coil sound. The tone knob, meanwhile, has a No-Load potentiometer, which basically functions as a regular control, but transmits your uncut guitar signal once the knob is turned up to 10. This increases your output and really makes this Charvel's character shine through.
Charvel: the original hot rod guitar
In 1974, Wayne Charvel opened up his own guitar repair shop. When Asian companies started to imitate his products, however, he decided to build his own guitars. Charvel guitars usually feature an ST-style body with a humbucker and a tremolo; these so-called Superstrats are incredibly popular among rock and metal fans. Today, Charvel is still known for their remarkable finishes, quick maple necks and other innovations. Since the company was taken over by the Fender Musical Instruments Corporation, it offers models in various price ranges.
