With the Charvel Pro Mod San Dimas 2H FR, you'll be playing at rocket speed! The striking Rocket Red finish that adorns the alder body contrasts beautifully with the instrument's maple neck. In true Charvel style, the fretboard has a compound radius, allowing for both easy chords and leads. The double locking Floyd Rose 1000-series tremolo is good for stunning vibrato effects without sacrificing tuning stability, and two passive Seymour Duncan humbuckers guarantee a powerful sound.
Pro Mod San Dimas 2H FR: a versatile sound
Although it's mostly geared towards rock and metal, this Charvel is definitely no one-trick pony. Thanks to the use of a push/pull volume potentiometer, you're able to enjoy sparkling single-coil sounds too. The No-Load tone potentiometer, meanwhile, is capable of taking itself out of the circuit, ensuring increased output and highlighting the guitar's sound characteristics. Finally, a little wheel below the neck - the so-called spoke nut - allows for easy truss rod adjustments.
Charvel: the original hot rod guitar
In 1974, Wayne Charvel opened up his own guitar repair shop. When Asian companies started to imitate his products, however, he decided to build his own guitars. Charvel guitars usually feature an ST-style body with a humbucker and a tremolo; these so-called Superstrats are incredibly popular among rock and metal fans. Today, Charvel is still known for their remarkable finishes, quick maple necks and other innovations. Since the company was taken over by the Fender Musical Instruments Corporation, it offers models in various price ranges.
