General
Charvel guitars have a distinct signature and have built on their own tradition. The same goes for this Pro Mod San Dimas Style 1 HS HT with its dazzling snow-white finish. Its tone, playing feel and looks are of high quality. The only thing that is below standards is its price. Charvel manage to offer an immense amount of sound for the money with the types of wood, fretboard and pickups. Fast playing styles are no problem at all on the smooth maple neck and fretboard as their compound radius enables unhindered playing across the entire tonal range.
Charvel Pro Mod San Dimas: cut from the right stuff
The body of the Pro Mod San Dimas Style 1 HS HT is made of alder, which is a lightweight type of wood with an excellent resonance that optimally enhances string vibrations. The connection of string and body happens by means of the Charvel Hard Tail bridge that, together with the Charvel locking tuners, ensures an immense tuning stability even under stress from heavy playing styles. Two Seymour Duncan pickups take care of the output (via the jack connector on the side). There's a JB TB4 humbucker in the bridge position and an STK-S6 single-coil pickup at the neck.
Charvel guitars
Charvel have always been known for their high-quality guitars for hard rockers and metal heads. Thanks to the Pro Mod series, even loud shredding amateur guitarists are supplied with many of the beloved Charvel features at a very reasonable price. Think of a narrow neck, a compound radius fretboard, a Floyd Rose tremolo and Grover tuners, for example. Charvel's San Dimas models are equipped with Seymour Duncan pickups and the SoCal guitars have a pickguard and Dimarzio pickups.
