General
When it comes to design, guitars by Danelectro have always been distinctive. That's something that has made their guitars from the '50s especially popular with collectors. It has to be said, however, that while their guitars back then certainly had style, the construction and hardware wasn't exactly of the highest quality. Fortunately, that's something that changed long ago and this Danelectro '59 Spruce Black/White Pearl is a true modern classic. As well as improved hardware, it has a solid spruce top with an offset sound hole. Fans of surf, punk, alternative and rockabilly music in particular are sure to love the '59 Danelectro model.
Danelectro
Danelectro was founded in 1946 by Nathan Daniel. Although the early models weren't much to look at, they were remarkably efficient. They had a wooden frame and a hardboard front and back, and the sides were finished with tape! Despite—or perhaps because of—this sober construction, these guitars possessed a characteristic sound that quickly gained popularity. Production ceased in 1968, but the brand made a comeback about 25 years later with guitars that had that same Danelectro sound, but with improved construction and hardware. The Danelectro '59M Spruce White Pearl is one of them!

Ik ben nog nooit zo blij geweest met een gitaar. De gitaar is supermooi en speelt heel gemakkelijk. Snaren liggen dicht op de hals. Goed en helder geluid zo als je gewend bent van Dan Electro. Ik ben vooral heel erg opgelucht dat deze gitaar heel erg weinig weegt. Met mijn rugklachten waren de repetities een flinke work-out, maar voor het eerst in jaren kan ik de drie uur lang zonder moeite door komen. Zodra je de gitaar vast hebt en er op gespeeld hebt, zijn al je twijfels als sneeuw voor de zon verdwenen.
