solide gitaar. sg vibe absoluut . fijne aktie en sustain en mooi afwerking. pickups klinken als een echte 60er sg.. goed voor rock jazz en clean... voor wat stevigere rock adviseer wel toch een paar andere pickups. verder prima sg met mooie looks

Disclaimer: ik heb de gitaar zelf niet gehouden omdat ze qua klank niet 100% was wat ik verwacht had. Maar dat neemt niet weg dat dit een ZEER goed instrument is.

Even mijn bevindingen op een rijtje:
- Bouwkwaliteit: perfect afgewerkt. ik kon geen één minpuntje vinden.
- Ergonomie: zalige gitaar om op te spelen. heerlijk makkelijke hals ook.
- Afstelling: gitaar moest enkel nog gestemd worden en was metéén speelklaar. heerlijk lage actie.
- Gewicht: licht gitaartje. in tegenstelling tot andere SG's had deze totaal geen last van neckdive!
- Cleansound: zéér goeie cleansound, dynamische pickups met genoeg presence.
- Overdrivesound: naar mijn smaak te muddy en helaas enorm feedbackgevoelig bij hi-gain.
- Sustain: niet spectaculair, maar zeker voldoende (ik ben een Les Paul gewend)

Samengevat: voor de cleane spelers en classic rockers onder ons is deze Standard '61 een dikke aanrader. AC/DC all day lang! Indien je echter zwaardere metalstijlen wil gaan spelen, zou ik deze niet kopen. Want dan moet je er een set andere pickups in (laten) zetten, en dan ben je natuurlijk weer veel meer geld kwijt.
