The ESP E-II Alexi Ripped in Purple Fade Satin is a striking electric guitar for good reason. This is because it is one of the last models designed by the legendary Alexi Laiho himself, just before his far too early death. Extra special is that this is his first signature model with an HS element configuration. Besides the powerful EMG HZ FH-2 humbucker in the bridge position, you also get an EMG S2 stacked single-coil at the neck. This delivers a versatile sound with a punchy midrange and deep, tight bass. The Finnish guitar virtuoso was known for his lightning-fast, technical playing. For optimal playability, he chose a neck-through-body construction, where the three-piece maple neck continues into the alder body. This not only provides extra sustain, but also easy access to all 24 extra jumbo frets on the ebony fingerboard. The frets from position 19 onwards are scalloped, making bends and fast solos roll effortlessly off the neck. Glow-in-the-dark position markings on the side ensure that you can always find your way even on dark stages. And of course, a genuine Floyd Rose Original double-locking tremolo is not to be missed
