Making the high-precision quality of the ESP Original Series available to the unwashed masses, the See Through Black Sunburst edition of the Japanese-built ESP E-II Horizon FR-II electric guitar has been built with exactly the same level of love, care and obsessive accuracy as any high-end ESP model, but comes with a slightly more realistic price-tag. Definitely built for the virtuoso, this guitar has been fully kitted out and set up for fast and heavy work, so you're getting an EMG 57 humbucker at the bridge and an EMG 66 humbucker at the neck, completing a solid duo that delivers the power of active pickups alongside sweet, satisfying, and surprisingly versatile vintage tone.

Construction

The ergonomic Horizon body-shape has been carved from a solid chunk of high-grade mahogany and topped off with a slice of quilted maple for a deluxe final touch, laying down a balanced foundation packed out with the warmth of mahogany and the sparkling trebles of maple. The mahogany neck runs through the length of the body to boost the sustain and firm up stability and has been finished with a comfortably rounded heel so you're assured of eased access to every last one of the twenty-four extra-jumbo frets. Basically, the playability of this model is effortlessly light, fast and nimble. A set of Gotoh locking machine heads, a Floyd Rose Original tremolo bridge and a set of Schaller strap-locks complete a flawless and professional spec-list.

The ESP E-II Series

The ESP E-II line-up builds a bridge between the more expensive ESP Original Series models and the more affordable LTD models. However, these are no entry-level guitars.
