General
The LTD EC-1000 Deluxe VB is a non-compromising, matte black electric guitar for amateurs who mean business. This instrument combines a versatile, powerful sound with a highly stylish design. The EMG 81 pickup is famed among metalheads for its strikingly clear and neat sound. The EMG 60 humbucker delivers a fat and rich sound and can also be used for styles like blues. Both pickups are active, guaranteeing a high output that is founded on the warm, clear base of the mahogany body and the neat, bright tone of the ebony fretboard.
LTD EC-1000 VB: Attractive and reliable
The experienced guitarist will already have noticed that the LTD EC1000 VB has been modelled after the classic single-cut model. LTD gave the trusted design their own twist with a horned cutaway and gold-yellow headstock, neck and body bindings. The non-reflective matte black top is fitted with tasteful, gold-coloured hardware. String bends are easier due to the 24 extra large frets and will not jeopardise your tuning thanks to the Locking Tuners. The bridge on this guitar is stabilised by the renowned Tonepros Locking system. This is a genuinely pretty, and utterly reliable guitar with a rich sound.

Deze guitar geretourneerd,is een zeer mooie guitar en daar stopt het.De afwerking van de frets is een regelrechte schande voor een guitar met dit prijs kaartje.De uiteinde van de frets zijn niet afgewerkt zoals het zou moeten zijn .Ruw met bramen die gewoon na een tijdje spelen je handen bijna openhalen .Heb dan in de winkel nog eens gevoeld aan een goedkopere versie LTD het fret work was nog erger,ik weet nie hoe ze dit durven op de markt brengen.Anders was alles ok maar de fretwork was een ramp .

This guitar is simply brilliant from all aspects: playability, build quality, sound and design. Locking tuners make is fairly easy to change strings, it also stays in tune pretty well. I've installed 11-56 string gauge, mostly play in Drop C and have no complains. It even handles Drop A to my surprise! Active EMG pickups sounds great as well, so totally recommended

I am in love with this guitar. Great sound, perfect for recording. Feels great, plays great, sounds great. I noticed a half centimeter piece at the very top of the frets where it is not as smooth as the rest, I imagine this happened during manufacturing. Its very small, and I am too much in love with this gorgeous guitar to send it back. Only thought it may be worth mentioning. Also took me a while to notice, to say how small this is.

Après avoir testé la LTD EC 401 qui, à mon goût, manquait de profondeur dans les basses, j'ai pu tester l'EC 1000 chez un ami. Je l'ai donc commandée - en stock B - reçue, re-testée et... Rien à faire, j'adore !
Le manche est superbe, un boulevard, très facile à jouer. L'accès aux cases les plus aigues est très facile, peut-être même plus que sur ma LTD M-1001.
La guitare est très équilibrée, plutôt légère pour une sigle cut.
Le son est bien profond, on a des graves autant qu'on en souhaite, surtout si on se met sur le micro manche (EMG 60). En son clean, c'est un peu froid mais propre et net, bien brillant, pour peu qu'on ne mette pas trop de gain sur l'ampli (sur mon blackstar ID 60 TVP, je ne dois pas dépasser le niveau 4/10). Rien de surprenant quand on a l'habitude des micros actifs.
En crunch ou en OD, le 60 suit sans problème, même si on sent que son niveau de sortie est inférieur à son cousin l'EMG 81 monté en chevalet. Néanmoins, ça suffit largement pour jouer du métal (heavy, power et thrash dans mon cas).
En chevalet, on a un son moins grave mais quand même massif, puissant et très agréable.
Cette guitare est très polyvalente, je peux l'utiliser aussi bien pour les rythmiques que pour les leads. Elle le son que je voulais, la puissance que je cherchais et, en plus, en vintage black, je la trouve juste sublime ;)
