The LTD EC-401 is a powerful and stylish guitar aimed at amateurs who are serious about playing. Its body has a beautiful matte-black (Vintage Black) finish with gold-yellow bindings and gold-coloured hardware. Two humbucker pickups are fitted to the body and take full responsibility for this guitar's versatile sounds. The famous EMG 81 pickup guarantees neat, transparent metal sounds while the EMG 60 is perfect for rock, hardrock and blues tones.
The LTD EC-401 VB: warm, clear and pure
The LTD EC-401 VB has a mahogany body and neck for a warm tone with excellent resonance and a broad palette of sounds that can cut through any mix. The Tune-O-Matic bridge offers extra stability and intonation and thanks to the Grover tuners you can accurately tune every string. The 24 Extra Jumbo frets enable comfortable string bends.

Zo uit de doos al goed bespeelbaar; alleen de actie van de snaren lager gezet, want die stonden vrij hoog.
De gitaar is goed in balans, heeft een dunnere body dan een gibson les-paul, en is dan ook wat lichter, wat wel prettig is. Alleen voelen de randen van de body wat scherp tegen je onderarm aan; misschien had een uitsparing aan de bovenkant, zoals aan de achterkant wel fijn geweest.
De hals is in dezelfde satijn zwarte kleur gespoten als de body en speelt lekker vlot en soepel.
De sound is killer; de EMG's leveren een helder en luid geluid, die overal doorheen klinkt.
Deze gitaar is absoluut aan te bevelen voor iedereen die metal of rock speelt.

Super lage actie waardoor hij heel fijn en licht speelt, de Emg's die erin zitten zijn geweldig! ze geven net dat extra beetje wat je nodig hebt voor rock/metal muziek.
