Master guitarist Eddie van Halen's guitars are known for their distinct look; the guitar virtuoso's signature is a striped body, after all. The first guitar that Eddie van Halen built himself was called the Frankenstrat - a combination of Frankenstein and Stratocaster, as it was composed from the parts of various guitars - and featured a white body with black stripes, added by Eddie himself. After the original Frankenstrat, a number of home-built guitars followed, all adorned with the 5150 stripe motif. The red-white-black edition became the most famous by far. The yellow and black Bumblebee after which this electric guitar has been modelled, however, is also quite well-known.

This EVH Striped Series solid-body guitar is fitted with a quartersawn maple neck with a vertical grain to prevent it from getting warped. In addition to a truss rod, the neck of the guitar is equipped with graphite reinforcement, which makes it stronger, more stable and less sensitive to external influences like moisture and temperature. The neck is fitted with a maple fingerboard with 22 frets and black position markers. The compound radius makes it just as easy to play chords on the curved lower part of the neck as to bend strings and play solos further up, where the neck becomes flatter.

D-Tuna

The EVH Striped white/black electric guitar has a white volume knob (labelled tone) and is equipped with a Floyd Rose locking nut and an EVH D-Tuna locking tremolo system. The D-Tuna is a remarkable system that enables you to quickly adjust your low E string to a D tuning. The tremolo is accurate and stable, ensuring your guitar stays in tune.
