EVH's Wolfgang Standard has long been known among enthusiasts as an affordable modern classic. In this Exotic version, the lime body of this Eddie van Halen signature features a beautiful exotic top. On this example, it is made of zebrano, or zebrawood. After all, sometimes a tonechaser's eye wants a little extra. Besides, you can still enjoy the well-known playing comfort and a killer guitar sound. Wolfgang Standard Exotic: Poundcake
The Wolfgang baked maple neck has that pleasantly thin profile and a fingerboard radius that goes from 12 to 16 inches. This allows for many playing techniques. From tight low riffs to finger-picking leads with rap frettapping in between here and there. Since divebombs and other perhaps more subtle vibrato techniques should of course also be part of the game, the R2 locking nut and the EVH-branded Floyd Rose Special tremolo bridge ensure tuning stability. So you can always finish the parts you started in tune. The specially designed medium-output Wolfgang humbuckers are direct-mount and ensure that the full midrange sound of especially the basswood is robustly transmitted to your amp.
