The WG Standard is home to two direct-mounted Wolfgang humbuckers: a pair of metal and rock focussed double-coils that spit immediately tight definition as well as full, high-gain output. Both pickups feature a 'mid-forward' design, meaning that they wield powerful, mix-puncturing tone thanks to masses of mid-range presence and have been teamed up with a treble bleed circuit, so that same level of bite is maintained even when the volume pot is rolled back. Meanwhile, the EVH branded Floyd Rose bridge guarantees solid tuning - even despite all that extreme dive bombing - and the compound fretboard radius has an especially light, controlled, and above all, comfortable feel all the way up the neck.
