General

The friendly and familiar body-shape and layout remains, but the Japanese-made, future-thinking Fender Aerodyne Special Telecaster has been fully souped-up streamlined in all the right places. The pickguard has been stripped off and the body has been shaved down to complete a more 'aerodynamic' feel before everything has been dipped in high-gloss lacquer and outlined in cream binding. The classic, Fender-grade playability of a modern-C profile and satin-gloss-coated maple neck is sped up by the lighter action of a set of twenty-two medium-jumbo frets and a flattened 12 inch fretboard radius. And as you'd expect, this ultra-fast, futuristic treat of a six-string comes wrapped up in its own deluxe gig bag.

The Fender Aerodyne Special Telecaster: Contemporary Style & Tone

The standard-issue fixed Fender bridge has been replaced with a high-spec Babicz Z-Series FCH-Tele bridge with six saddles which pushes vibrational transfer through the proverbial roof to result in increased sustain and insane dynamic response. Coupled with a set of newly-designed Aerodyne Special Tele single-coil pups, this impressive setup guarantees iconic Tele-flavoured bite alongside hyper-modern articulation - and to firm up the tuning, all of it comes polished off by a set of locking machine heads.
