The Fender American Elite Stratocaster HSS combines innovative design elements with traditional looks. A powerful ShawBucker is at the heart of this legendary American Strat, which is housed in a stylish open-coil zebra finish. You've also got two 4th Generation Deluxe Noiseless single-coil pickups at your disposal for a noiseless, crystal-clear sound. This guitar is equipped with intelligent electronics like the S-1 switch, which make this American Strat one of the most versatile guitars money can buy. It even comes complete with a case!
American Elite: sublime playing comfort
Fender have given this USA Stratocaster an ebony fretboard, which enhances its chic appearance and adds a punchy accent to the overall tone. The fretboard is compound, and goes from 9.5 inches at the headstock to 14 inches at the body. This make sit easier than ever to play chords as well as lead as you go up the neck. What's more, the back of the neck also has a compound profile, going from a Modern C to a D.
More than the sum of its parts
It's pretty clear that Fender put a lot of thought into the development of the American Elite Stratocaster. This high-quality electric guitar is chock-full of details that combine to elevate this instrument to a higher plane. Some of those details include short post locking machine heads that hold the strings at a better angle after they pass through the improved synthetic string nut. This, together with the 2-point Deluxe synchronised tremolo with pop-in arm, keeps fret buzz to a minimum and enhances tuning stability at the same time.

Fender have even more good news! As of now, many of their American Professional (bass)guitars will be available in a Natural finish as well as the delicious colour Candy Apple Red. The American Elite series will also receive some new colour additions, including Champagne and Ocean Turquoise. Last but not least, the darker fretboards will be made of ebony instead of rosewood!
