Fender American Professional & American Elite: New Colours, New Wood
Fender have even more good news! As of now, many of their American Professional (bass)guitars will be available in a Natural finish as well as the delicious colour Candy Apple Red. The American Elite series will also receive some new colour additions, including Champagne and Ocean Turquoise. Last but not least, the darker fretboards will be made of ebony instead of rosewood!
Professional and good-looking
Candy Apple Red has been an iconic Fender colour for decades. We don't know if Fender intentionally left the colour out last season, but we're happy to see it's back in the American Professional line! In fact, just about every model in this range will be available in 'CAR'. One glance at the Fender American Pro Tele Deluxe Shawbucker Candy Apple Red RW or the Fender American Professional Precision Bass Candy Apple Red RW is sure to be impressed. However, if you prefer an 'au naturel' look, you'll be happy to know the American Professional Stratocaster with maple fretboard and two American Professional Jazz basses will come in a Natural finish as well.
American Elite
Fender's American Elite series is all about luxury and state-of-the-art technology. To enlarge this popular range, Fender have added two new fancy colours called Champagne and Ocean Turquoise. The dark fretboards that used to be made of rosewood are now made of ebony, a chic, smooth type of wood your fingers will glide over effortlessly. Even though this change of material is a result of the CITES agreement, it's as though ebony has always belonged on the luxurious Fender Elite guitar.
