General
The Stratocaster has been around for decades, and while the original design hasn't changed in the slightest, Fender have made some small yet significant improvements over the years. For the American Elite series, the legendary brand have pulled out all the stops to create a truly versatile electric guitar to suit every guitarist's need. The fancy Ocean Turquoise finish and maple fretboard give this American Strat an especially chic appearance. To top it all off, this guitar comes in a deluxe case with TSA-approved locks.
American Elite Stratocaster: noiseless sound and great playing comfort
Single-coil pickups sometimes produce unwanted noise, but that is officially a thing of the past. Fender have equipped the American Elite Stratocaster with Deluxe Noiseless pickups for sparkling, noise-free tones. Another remarkable detail is the compound neck profile, which goes from a Modern C at the headstock to an oval D higher up the neck. It also features a compound fretboard radius that goes from 9.5 to 14 inches. The result is that both chords and leads will be more comfortable and easier to play than ever before.
An eye for detail
This Strat features yet another interesting detail, namely short post locking tuners. Thanks to a relatively low design, the strings receive enough tension in the string nut, resulting in excellent tuning stability. The 2-point Deluxe tremolo contributes to this as well. New to the American Elite series is the two-way truss rod, which is equipped with a spoke nut, which is a cylinder with holes around it. By inserting a thin screw driver or Allen key into one of these holes, you can adjust the neck with great accuracy without having to remove it. All in all, this Strat is modern and practical!
