General
This 5-string Jazz Bass is from Fender's American Pro series that replaces the American Standard series. It's low B string means that it can really shake the foundations, regardless of where you're playing it. The HiMass Vintage bridge doesn't just ensure a solid sound, but also offers excellent stability and sustain. The neck, reinforced with Posiflex graphite rods, also plays a part in this.
American Pro Jazz Bass V: frets and machine heads
The Slim C neck profile offers a playing experience so smooth, you may almost forget you're playing a 5-string bass. The narrow, tall frets also add to the comfortable playability of this model as well as making it easier to press the strings down and improving the intonation. The machine heads feature a fluted design, meaning they're wider at the top than at the bottom. This forces the string windings downward and keeps them tight, which results in increased sustain and better tuning stability.
Jazz Bass V & V-Mod
The two Fender V-Mod Single-Coil Jazz pickups on this bass are new. They're based on Fender's classic vintage pickups, but use a mix of Alnico magnets that results in a classic sound with a higher output. That makes this bass perfect for playing effortless grooves or shredding, all with that distinctive Fender sound of course! Whether you're a (semi) professional musician or not, the 5-string Fender American Pro Jazz Bass V Natural MN gives you that little bit extra. It even comes with its own Elite Moulded Case.

Fender have even more good news! As of now, many of their American Professional (bass)guitars will be available in a Natural finish as well as the delicious colour Candy Apple Red. The American Elite series will also receive some new colour additions, including Champagne and Ocean Turquoise. Last but not least, the darker fretboards will be made of ebony instead of rosewood!
