General
Fender's American Elite Stratocaster is a top-notch electric guitar with an ebony fretboard. For years, Fender used rosewood almost exclusively for their fretboards, but as that material is now on the list of endangered wood types, the brand has made an eco-conscious choice to use ebony instead. This darker wood contrasts nicely with this particular Strat's Champagne finish and has a higher density too, which gives this guitar bright, clear tonal accents. The Elite Strat comes complete with a case.
American Elite Stratocaster: special truss rod
Besides sound and stability, Fender find playing comfort an important aspect in the development of their instruments. For this reason, they paid close attention to the American Elite Strat's neck, which has a compound radius fretboard that goes from a round 9.5 inches to a flat 14 inches. The back of the neck is also compound, going from a Modern C to an oval D. In short, when you invest in this American Strat, you're investing in an icon that will last you for years to come!
For the true Strat aficionado
De American Elite series is considered by some to be the spiritual successor to the popular American Deluxe series. Fender is continuing to build on that successful recipe with the Elite by adding some more tasty ingredients. The American Elite models have a Double Action truss rod, which is located underneath the neck and provides easy adjustment. Lastly, the models all feature short post deluxe locking tuners and a modern 2-point tremolo for excellent tuning stability.
