General
This Jazzmaster electric guitar comes from Fender's American Professional series that replaces the American Standard series. It has a maple fretboard and combines the best features from the past with those from today. As such, it offers a refined and comfortable playing experience as well as a great sound. It even comes with its own Elite moulded hardshell case.
American Professional Jazzmaster: V-Mod pickups and Treble Bleed Circuit
Originally, the Jazzmaster was aimed at jazz guitarists, as its name suggests. However, it was soon discovered by musicians from genres like surf, indie and alternative rock, who fell in love with its great sound. The single-coil V-Mod pickups were designed by none other than Michael Frank, the man responsible for designing the pickups in the Eric Johnson Stratocaster. They deliver a vintage-style sound that can best be described as hot and punchy with an extra touch of definition. Even when the volume is turned down, the sound remains bright thanks to the on-board Treble Bleed Circuit.
Electronics, tailpiece and Modern Deep C
The 3-way pickup switch and tone control let you customise your sound to perfection. In addition to that, there's a floating (but lockable) tailpiece with a tremolo arm that allows you to easily add subtle vibrato effects to your playing. For improved playing comfort, this Jazzmaster has a Modern Deep C neck profile that falls somewhere between a Modern C and a U profile. Finally, there are 22 narrow, tall frets that make it easier to play chords and bend strings.
