General
Fender may have introduced the Jazz Bass later than the Precision Bass but that didn't stop it from becoming the more popular model. This Jazz Bass is from Fender's American Pro series that replaces the American Standard series. It has a Modern C neck profile that offers a smooth playing experience and is equipped with narrow-tall frets that make it easier to press the strings down and improve the intonation, while the neck itself is reinforced with Posiflex graphite rods.
American Pro Jazz Bass: a modern classic
Many bassists have their own opinion when it comes to what sort of bridge a bass guitar should have. Some find a vintage bridge best, while others want a lightweight or a heavyweight one. Fender has developed the HiMass Vintage bridge which it uses on this Jazz Bass. It offers an authentic appearance and sound with plenty of stability and sustain. While the redesigned machine heads also have a classic look, they have a fluted shaft which increases the tuning stability and adds extra sustain.
V-Mod Jazz
The two Fender V-Mod pickups on this Jazz Bass are also new. They're based on Fender's classic vintage pickups, but use a mix of Alnico magnets that results in a classic sound with a higher output. That makes this bass perfect for playing effortless grooves or shredding, all with that distinctive Fender sound of course! Finally, you can take the Fender American Pro Jazz Bass in Natural MN wherever you want in the Elite Moulded Case that comes with it.

Fender have even more good news! As of now, many of their American Professional (bass)guitars will be available in a Natural finish as well as the delicious colour Candy Apple Red. The American Elite series will also receive some new colour additions, including Champagne and Ocean Turquoise. Last but not least, the darker fretboards will be made of ebony instead of rosewood!
