The legendary Telecaster was Fender's first solid-body electric guitar. It was an instant hit after its introduction in 1950 and is still the pick of the litter for many guitarists because of its fierce, neat and clear sound. The American Standard Telecaster is the modern embodiment of this timeless classic. This version was specially upgraded with Fender Custom Shop pickups and a comfortable Stratocaster-style body contour on the back to spare your rib cage. This 3-tone Sunburst edition features a rosewood fretboard and comes with a case, guitar strap, instrument cable and polishing cloth.

American Standard Telecaster: the new standard

Despite their predisposition for tradition, Fender are always looking for ways to improve their products. As such, this American Standard Telecaster was fitted with a 22-fret neck with a two-way truss rod and a more flat 9.5-inch fretboard radius. The vintage-style ashtray bridge has been replaced by a modern (5-screw mounted for better tone transference) version with six adjustable steel saddles. Additionally, this guitar is equipped with Fender's Delta Tone system, meaning that the tone potentiometer functions as a normal tone control in position 1 - 9, but takes itself out of the circuit in position 10, giving you a more pure and raw sound from the bridge pickup.

Equipped with Fender Custom Shop pickups

The American Standard Telecaster is equipped with two Fender Custom Shop pickups: a Broadcaster in the bridge position and a Twisted Tele near the neck. The Broadcaster produces that distinctively aggressive, biting sound without sounding too sharp. The Twisted Tele has a Jazz Bass' alnico 5 magnet and a nickel/silver instead of brass cover. This'll give this pickup a fuller sound and an increased output that is comparable to that of a Stratocaster neck pickup. The result is a Telecaster that sounds fuller, more sparkling and tighter than ever before.
