General

Fender Custom Shop's master builder Todd Krause designed a rather special version of the classic Telecaster: the Classic Player Triple Tele. This black guitar's looks and features have been modelled after a fifties Tele, like its thick, one-piece C-profile maple neck and single-layer black pickguard for instance. A unique feature of this guitar are the three Telecaster-style pickups that are all mounted diagonally. Together with the five-way pickup switch, you can draw from a wide range of clear, twangy sounds.

Classic Player Triple Tele Black: construction

The body of this striking Telecaster was made of alder, a lightweight wood type with an excellent balance between bass, mid and treble. The maple neck adds some clarity to the mix, for the famous Tele bite. The trio of pickups consists of Custom Shop Nocaster single-coils, no less. The bridge is the same one you'll find on the more expensive American Vintage series and features a strings-through-body construction and three adjustable brass saddles. To top it all off, this guitar is equipped with vintage-style machine heads and a 'Custom Shop Designed' neck plate engraving.

Classic Player series guitars

Guitars from the Classic Player series, sprung from the Classic line, are modelled after traditional Telecasters, Stratocasters, Jazzmasters and Jaguars, but are extra notable because of the addition of several special, modern features. For instance, they offer a choice from a broad selection of pickups (ranging from classic pickups to modern, high-output versions), and each model features a relatively flat fretboard radius for extra comfortable playing. Additionally, instruments from this series - introduced in 2006 - are characterised by a vintage-style neck profile.
