For anyone who loves the iconic 1956 Fender Stratocaster but can't afford the real deal, Fender released this gorgeous Custom Shop Limited Edition Relic Stratocaster that is based on the original '56 model. It's even been artificially aged to give it a weathered look. Besides that, Fender made sure that it has all the features that made the original so iconic. Its ash body has deep contours and a one-piece quartersawn maple neck with a V-profile, a 9.5" radius and 6105 fret wire. It doesn't get any more vintage than that!
Fender Custom Shop Limited 1956 Relic Strat Faded Shell Pink
Besides the authentic vintage look, the inner workings of this Custom Shop Stratocaster are also vintage-correct, with hand-wound pickups that are based on the original 1956 alnico pickups. Furthermore, it features Tone Saver Treble Bleed circuit for that authentic '50s Stratocaster sound. The only noticeable difference from the real thing is probably the 5-way pickup switch that replaces the original 3-way switch, and allows you to fully utilise this unique guitar's rich sound.
Fender Custom Shop
In the Fender Custom Shop, an American icon is brought back to life after 60 years. Fender used a few 1956 Stratocasters as the base for their Limited Edition Relic Stratocaster. Of course there is no replacing the originals, but the master luthiers in Corona got eerily close by using the 1956 specs as a starting point. Finally, Custom Shop guitars are artificially aged, so they have the look to match their great vintage-correct sound.

Once a year, the master luthiers in the Fender Custom Shop are allowed to go absolutely crazy, resulting in a Limited Edition Collection of very special guitars. As each of them is available in very limited qualities, these musical pieces of art are highly sought after, making them great investments. Of course, each model comes with a certificate of authenticity, a case and plenty of case candy.
