General

The Fender Deluxe Roadhouse Stratocaster in Mystic Ice Blue has a built-in V6 preamplifier with 6 tone settings. It's turned on and off using the S-1 switch found on the volume control. The preamp itself is controlled by a knob that looks exactly like the middle tone control and is situated in the same place too. In combination with three Fender Vintage Noiseless pickups and the modern tremolo with vintage saddles, you have a great variety of sound possibilities at your disposal. Because of the pickup type, you won't experience any unexpected noise or hum either. The preamp is powered by a 9V battery that can be accessed via a special compartment on the rear of the guitar.

Construction

When it comes to construction, the Deluxe Roadhouse is built just like any other Fender Strat. It has a body made of alder and a maple neck with a rosewood fretboard that combine to give this model its classic Strat sound. A 12-inch fretboard radius makes it possible to lower the strings for easier note bending and faster playing. Locking tuners ensure that the tuning stability is excellent too. If you're looking for a genuine Fender Strat that gives you a little bit extra, then the Deluxe Roadhouse model could be right up your street.
