General

Mega-versatile and wrapped up in style, the Fender Player Stratocaster Plus Top starts with a solid alder body, has an HSS pup configuration in the middle and ends with a refined and liquid-like flamed maple top. The standard-issue Strat single-coils at the neck and middle positions have been teamed up with a humbucker at the bridge, giving this Player Series model a touch more sonic meat than a Standard Series Strat.

The Player Stratocaster HSS Plus Top: All the Extras

That flamed maple top immediately marks this model out, and here, has been given a timeless burst finish to really polish off the job. Other unique details include the dual finish of the neck, where the back has been coated with satin-gloss to keep the playability fast and smooth while the fretboard has been given a slick coat of high-gloss. Kitted out with a stable two-point tremolo bridge, both the tuning and whammy bar tricks are in check, while the classic three-piece tone and volume controls and five-way switch keep things comfy and familiar.
