This Fender Offset Telecaster is quite the unusual hybrid. The Limited Edition American Standard in Olympic White has a body that is clearly from a Jazzmaster, but it also has a Telecaster neck. As it's a blend of those two guitar types, this model is also affectionately called a Telemaster, and the apt name also applies to its sound. It's got all the twang you'd expect from this type of guitar, while still giving you the freedom of a double cutaway.

Frankenstein's monster?

So we've established that the Offset Tele has a quite unusual look, but it's sound is equally special. As we mentioned before, it has the Telecaster twang, but thanks to the Custom Shop Twisted single-coil at the neck, you can also have it produce an almost Stratocaster-like sound. At the bridge, you'll find a Custom Shop Vintage-style single-coil to add some warmth and depth to the proceedings. Furthermore, with its 3-way pickup switch, volume and tone knob, the control setup is quite a bit simpler than that of a Jazzmaster. Another great addition is the tone control's No-Load circuit, which means that it takes itself out of the circuit entirely when it's opened up all the way.

Classy look

The Limited Edition American Standard Offset Telecaster comes in a gorgeous Olympic White finish. Combined with the mint green pickguard, this gives the guitar a very classy look. Another fancy feature is the guitar's bridge, which is in typical Tele style with its brass plate and three vintage bent brass saddles. The string-through bridge allows for excellent tuning stability. Meanwhile, the Micro-Tilt feature helps your neck stay properly aligned, and makes it easy to adjust when it needs adjusting. Finally, the Offset Telecaster features staggered machine heads, meaning you won't need a second string tree, which in turn improves the instrument's sustain and overall tone.
