General
Fender's Mustang 90 PF is an offset solid-body electric guitar with MP-90 pickups that deliver a fuller sound than standard single-coils. It has an alder body, a maple neck and a pau ferro fretboard. The pau ferro used on this model has a lovely dark colour and sound properties that are similar to rosewood. These aren't the only reasons to choose this updated version of the original model that first appeared in 1964, however.
Playing comfort
This Mustang 90 PF has a shorter scale length that measures 24 inches, which makes playing chords and scales slightly easier. It also means that the tension of the strings is lower, which enhances the playing comfort. If you're looking for a more compact model, then this fits the bill nicely and it's also an excellent choice for younger players. Other features that add to this model's playing comfort include a modern C neck profile, 22 medium jumbo frets and a 9.5-inch fretboard radius. For guitarists who play alternative music styles, garage rock or blues rock, the Fender Mustang 90 offers great value for money.
