The Strat Tom Morello played as part of Rage Against the Machine may have made a legend, but his black Soul Power Fender Stratocaster played when he was part of Audioslave was just as iconic. Fender and the unprecedented innovator that is Morello, join hands to give birth to his first signature guitar. In principle, his own Strat is an Aerodyne model that includes a healthy bunch of modifications that many adventurous guitarists will want to wrap their hands around. The 'Soul Power' decal is included separately so you can choose where you want to stick it, if you want to stick it on at all. Besides that considerate piece of candy, there's a snug-fitting Fender hardcase included.

Two Noiseless single-coils are mounted at the middle and neck and, when you try these out, you'll immediately realise how often Tom Morello uses the pickups in these positions for many of his tones. For the heavier work, there's a third Seymour Duncan hotrails mounted just after the bridge and fitted to the upper horn of the Soul Power, is the unique toggle-switch used to create Morello's signature stutter and vinyl-scratch effect. If you know Tom, then you know he enjoys throwing down plenty of tremolo tricks, which immediately explains the presence of the Floyd Rose tremelo-bridge with locking string-nut. For that extra bit of tuning stability, a set of locking machine-heads is also fitted and, to finish the attentive authenticity of this Fender Signature Stratocaster, there's a chromed reflective pickguard.
