General

G&L was co-founded by Leo Fender, a name that probably rings a bell. Hence, you may expect these guitars to be of high quality. The G&L ASAT Classic has the familiar fifties look thanks to its single cutaway, maple neck and two single-coil pickups. This guitar comes in two versions: the high-end American models and this - more affordable - Tribute version. Even though its price is lower, the Tribute version is equipped with exactly the same hardware and pickups as its American brothers so you don't have to worry about its quality or tone.

Features of the G&L Tribute ASAT Classic

The body of this electric guitar is made of lightweight Swamp Ash, which produces a full, deep tone with sparkling trebles. What's more, Swamp Ash has a beautiful grain - with this particular model sporting a transparent Butterscotch Blonde lacquer. The G&L Tribute ASAT Classic's neck and fretboard are made of hard maple, which gives this guitar a fiercer bite. The neck features 22 medium-jumbo frets and a modern, relatively flat 9-inch fretboard radius for more playing comfort.

Pickups and hardware

The G&L Tribute ASAT Classic's pickups have a design that is radically modern compared to traditional single-coils. Their magnets are adjustable in height so you can create the perfect balance in string output. These MFD (Magnetic Field Design) pickups have a rich tonal palette that ranges from clear and sparkling to delightfully warm and round at a high output, making them perfect for both cleans and distortion. Additionally, the ASAT Classic features smooth yet stable 18:1-ratio tuners and a bridge with six adjustable saddles for optimal intonation.
