The KIKO10BP-TGB by Ibanez is a darker version of the Kiko Loureiro signature model. As you might expect from someone who plays in bands like Angra and Megadeth, this guitarist demands a lot from his instruments. That's why this top-quality model is packed full of clever design features. There's a unique scoop cutaway on the back of the alder body, for instance, that makes it easier to access all 24 jumbo frets, and there's a tilt-in jack that's designed to hold the guitar cable more securely. This version has a terrific Transparent Gray Burst finish that shows off the flamed maple top in all its glory.

The Ibanez KIKO10BP-TGB

The KIKO10BP is an extremely stable instrument with a 5-piece maple/walnut neck and a KTS Titanium truss rod that makes it less sensitive to changes in temperature and humidity. The Edge Zero II Tremolo bridge means excellent tuning stability and its extra-long profile also adds to the playing comfort. Fast-playing guitarists will love the flat fretboard radius and the Premium finish on the frets. You'll quickly realise that this a real player's guitar.

Versatile Sound

Kiko Loureiro is well-known for his excellent technical skills on the guitar, often using a range of different techniques during a song. As well as playing metal, he's also an assured jazz and fusion player. He even helped out DiMarzio to design the KIKO original pickup, which is passive with a medium output that is well balanced. The single-coil is slightly warmer and more powerful than an average model, giving it a better balance between the humbuckers. The volume control features a push/pull coil tap, meaning you have seven different pickup combinations to play with.
