General

Ever since the 1970's, Paul Stanley has been playing stages all over the world with shock rock band KISS. In the early days, Stanley often used Ibanez Iceman guitars, and while he tried some other things for a while, he's now back with his first love. Ibanez offers various Paul Stanley signature models, including the legendary Cracked Mirror version. However, if you don't want to break the bank, you might want to check out the PS120SP-SSP Paul Stanley Signature in Silver Sparkle. It's a remarkable guitar with impressive specifications.

Professional specifications

Ibanez knows better than to focus only on a guitar's look, so they've paid a great deal of attention to the PSP120SP's body and hardware. For instance, it features a set-in neck that ensures a smooth transition between neck and body and enhances sustain. Furthermore, the solid Ibanez Full Tune bridge improves tuning stability. The pickups, meanwhile, are also top-notch, with a Seymour Duncan '59 at the neck and a Custom 5 at the bridge - a popular combination in the classic rock genre that KISS dominated for so long.

Notable details

Ibanez's Iceman models have a rather distinctive look in and of themselves, but this Paul Stanley model ups the ante considerably. It has a great Silver Sparkle finish, and both the pickups, the pickup mounts and even the pickguard are chrome-plated, resulting in a pretty shiny overall look. Other notable details are the unusual tailpiece and the abalone block position markers. Finally, Paul's signature on the headstock and the second to last fret serve as great finishing touches. All in all, this guitar is a striking instrument with matching hardware, made to grace the stage and entirely ready to rock!
