If you like aesthetic wood types and top-quality hardware, then you'll love this Ibanez RG Premium series electric guitar. It's made from many different types of wood, starting with American basswood for the body and poplar burl for the top. But, what makes this guitar go from ordinary to extraordinary is the impressive 11-piece (!) Wizard neck made of wenge/bubinga/maple/purpleheart and featuring an exotic wenge fretboard. All these types of wood combined result in a tonal palette unlike any other and the Gotoh MG-T locking machine heads make tuning a doddle!
Ibanez & DiMarzio: a perfect match
Ibanez equipped this RG with top-notch DiMarzio pickups. In the neck position, there's the Air Norton, which produces a warm, deep sound that offers lots of power and sustain. In the bridge, there's The Tone Zone, a humbucker known for delivering a lot of output as well as a dynamic, detailed sound with overtones and punch in the low frequencies. When you want to switch things up, there's a True Velvet single-coil in the middle position.
