The Ibanez Iron Label series RGAIX6U RG electric guitar has an ash body, a 3-piece maple/bubinga Nitro Wizard neck, and an ebony fretboard. This combination of wood types results in a balanced, yet powerful sound. For a robust feel and tone, Ibanez has equipped it with a Gibraltar Standard II bridge and two rough-and-ready Bare Knuckle Aftermath humbuckers.

De afbeelding in de webshop geeft het uiterlijk van deze gitaar slecht weer. Google even voor ander foto's. Hij is veel mooier dan de foto doet vermoeden. Zodra ik hem in handen had in Goes (Bax-shop) wist ik dat dit hem moest worden. Ik heb ook twee andere gitaren van Ibanez. Eentje uit de klasse 300 euro (dat is niks) en eentje van 500 (daar was ik tot nu toe ook heel tevreden mee), maar dit slaat alles.
Hij staat bekend voor metal, maar ik speel veel 'gewone' rock en dat pakt hij prima op. Maar ook meer blues of jazz stijlen werken prima. De hals is mooi afgewerkt en supersnel. De hals is ietsje breder dan mijn eerder Ibanez, maar dat geeft vooral voordelen. Ook in de hoge regionen zijn de noten in tune. Ik was van plan hem opnieuw te laten afstellen, maar ik stel dat voorlopig uit. Hij klopt gewoon.
Gebruik wel een goede kabel. Wees niet te zuinig en geef even 50 euro uit voor iets goeds.
Samenvatting: snelle en zeer gedefinieerde gitaar. Licht in gewicht, mooi in sustain en vergevingsgezind voor iets slordig spelen. De tone knop zul je niet missen. De extra schakelaar die schakelt tussen humbucker en single coil geeft voldoende variatie voor strum en solo werk.
Gewoon doen, ik weet zeker dat je hem houdt.
