General
The Ibanez RGIR37BFE Black Flat is an electric guitar from the Iron Label series. This model is ideal for heavier styles of music and has a neck that is easily accessible for blistering solos. It has two active EMG707 humbucker pickups with alnico magnets. The beloved RG body makes all of the 24 jumbo frets easy to reach. Speed and playing comfort is assured thanks to the flat, thin Nitro neck profile. Instead of a tone control, this guitar features a kill switch so that you can add legendary stutter effects.
RGIR37BFE: pickups, wood types and sound
707 humbuckers were specially developed in 2001 by EMG to give the low B string more harmonic richness and definition. The body of this guitar is made of mahogany with a bolt-on neck made of maple and bubinga featuring a rosewood fretboard. This robustly-constructed combination of wood types gives this metal model its solid sound. Together with the Gibraltar Standard II-7 bridge, the tone is well-balanced and warm with a rounded bite and good sustain.
