Ibanez RGIX20FEQM-SBS: construction
The body is made of basswood and its top, made of quilted maple, has been given the very tasteful Sapphire Blue Sunburst finish. The body is decorated with abalone bindings and the neck, the famous Nitro Wizard neck, is made of maple and bubinga wood. This neck is very thin and plays smoothly but is also very durable and can cope with extreme guitar playing on stage. The pitch-black fretboard is made of ash wood, which provides a somewhat sharper sound with a full bass. The gold-coloured hardware is very striking and gives this Iron Label RG a highly distinguished and powerful look.
EMG 60 and 81
With EMG pickups you're always guaranteed great quality. This Iron Label guitar has an EMG 81 pickup at the bridge which is very accurate and cuts perfectly through the trebles. It also offers a very fluent sustain. The EMG 60 humbucker at the neck produces a high output and an old-fashioned, fat sound with emphasised mids, great basses and a fat trebles. When you press the Kill Switch, you can shortly interrupt your output, creating a stroboscopic effect. The electronics are completed with a volume control and a 3-way pickup switch.
