A powerful instrument with a warm appearance and a wide range of sound possibilities, that is the Ibanez S970WRW-NT. This solid-body guitar belongs to the S Premium series, so it fits right between the 'regular' series and the Prestige line. This model, however, isn't inferior to the Prestige series in the slightest. It has a lightweight, mahogany body that guarantees a highly responsive sound. If you're a fan of fast-playing techniques, you'll definitely be drawn to this guitar as it has a comfortably flat fretboard (radius 400 mm).
Ibanez S970WRW-NT: construction
The smooth, streamlined body is made of African mahogany that produces a warm, vivid sound with clear mids and trebles. The top is made of rosewood and because it has a natural finish you can still see the beautiful dark wood through the lacquer. The body has been fitted with a bolt-on 5-piece Wizard-neck, made of wenge and bubinga wood. Its fretboard is made of rosewood and has 24 jumbo frets that were treated to the Premium fret treatment in the Ibanez factory. As a result, you can enjoy great playing comfort, no matter how wild you play. The white position markers have been placed offset.
Edge Zero II and HSH pickups
The Edge Zero II bridge has been derived from the Prestige series and is a highly stable double-locking tremolo bridge that can handle any kind of playing violence. The S970 pickups are in HSH configuration and with two humbuckers (CAP-CL1 and CL2) plus a single-coil pickup (VM1S), you have endless sound possibilities. From fiery solos, transparent single-coil sounds and numerous variegations of humbuckers together to everything at once, this natural Ibanez always gives you the best matching sound.
