General
When Jackson USA developed the Chris Broderick Signature Soloist HT7 - an uncompromising metal machine - neither cost nor effort were spared. It was designed in collaboration with Jackson Custom Shop master builder Mike Shannon, and features a mahogany body with a maple top, a neck-through construction, specially designed Dimarzio humbuckers and a Floyd Rose Pro tremolo bridge. What's more, this seven-string guitar boasts an extra low B string! A 24-fret ebony fretboard increases your playing comfort and maple bindings complete the picture.
A guitar for connoisseurs
A seasoned stage artist like Chris Broderick knows exactly what he wants and needs from a guitar. This Jackson HT-7 is the culmination of years of experience. The pickups are based on the renowned DiMarzio D-activators, but have been adjusted for increased clarity, attack and power. In order to optimally reproduce the guitar's natural resonance, they have been mounted directly onto the body. The Soloist's mahogany body and neck-through construction guarantee impressive sustain, while the quilted maple top adds extra bite.
Other hardware
For a guitar such as this, there's only one type of bridge that will suffice: the original Floyd Rose double locking tremolo. As Chris Broderick is not just a master guitarist, but also a practically minded true musician, this Jackson HT-7 is equipped with Planet Waves Auto-Trim machine heads, which makes changing strings a much easier, much less time-consuming affair. The usual tone knobs - superfluous controls for a metal virtuoso - have made way for two separate volume knobs and a kill switch.

During the NAMM show in Anaheim, California, it's not uncommon for guitar manufacturers to introduce new models and finishes. This year, Jackson has released an entire new series under the name Monarkh. The Monarkh guitars were inspired by the famous Les Paul, but offer true shredders and metal heads even more options. Tradition meets modern standards!
