Chris Broderick is more than just a shredder, and his classical training and diversity as a musician certainly shine through in the Soloist HT7. This guitar simply exudes quality, and even the smallest details make absolute sense. In collaboration with Jackson's Custom Shop builder Mike Shannon, Chris designed his very own dream guitar. In both bridge and neck position, you'll find pickups developed by Broderick himself, while a Jackson-designed Single String fixed bridge guarantees superior intonation across the entire neck.

A versatile 7-string beast

To ensure a tight, defined punch, the guitar's Broderick-designed DiMarzio humbucker pickups are mounted directly onto the body itself. The volume knob functions as a push-pull switch that splits the humbuckers, effectively turning them into single-coils for even more diversity. A kill switch, meanwhile, allows you to emulate the stutter effect you often hear in modern metal. To guarantee optimal tuning, Planet Waves Auto-Trim machine heads are combined with a Jackson-designed Single String fixed bridge. The latter has individual bridge saddles, so you can fine-tune both the intonation and the height of the strings.

Chris Broderick

Chris Broderick is an American musician, best known for his virtuoso guitar playing. After a classical training and daily practice sessions on both electric and classical guitar as well as piano and violin, he soon grew up to become a highly skilled and versatile musician. Chris was brought into the fold of Jag Panzer, where he provided the band with complex and technical riffs for over ten years. Afterwards he joined Nevermore on tour, where he showcased ferocious lead work alongside Jeff Loomis. In 2008 he joined the legendary Megadeth, but decided to part ways in 2014 to pursue his own musical direction, which we can now hear in Act of Defiance. Every guitarist can surely learn something from this all-rounder.
