General

Bringing custom-shop-grade features to the masses, the Jackson Concept Series provides ninja-worthy playability for a more modest price, and the Soloist SLAT7P 7-string guitar is no exception. For a start, this innovative model wields a multi-scale neck that should come at triple the price, and bears the elegance of smooth contouring, the stability of state-of-the-art hardware, and the sonic aggression demanded by the heaviest genres. The neck-through-construction, meanwhile, unleashes near-infinite sustain and completes an ergonomic build to support supreme playing comfort. The multi-scale setup accommodates two scale lengths: 25.5 inches along the lower edge, and 27 inches along the upper edge, ensuring a tight feel and excellent definition in lower tunings; a reliable feel in higher tunings; beautifully even string tension, and enhanced intonation.

Eye-Candy Meets Functionality

The alder body has been topped with a slice of poplar burl and black-finished hardware to polish off an undeniable chunk of eye-candy with a balanced and even calm look. The mounted pair of Fishman Fluence Modern humbuckers are already insanely versatile, and have been teamed up with a push-pull tone pot to stack two voicing options and provide ultimate control, while the three-way selector switch can be toggled to combine or isolate the pickups. Even deeper playing comfort is assured by the compound radius, which effortlessly improves grip and control whether grabbing chords lower down the neck or bending notes closer to the body. And to finish, the ultra-stable fixed Hipshot bridge lays down perfect tuning and intonation and a set of thoughtful Luminlay side dots aid fret navigation in the dark. The no-nonsense layout is as chic as it is simple, only confirming that this instrument has been built for high-precision, high-performance work.

Jackson Concept Series Soloist SLAT7P HT MS Electric Guitar (Satin Bourbon Burst)
Wrote the following about Jackson Concept Series Soloist SLAT7P HT MS Electric Guitar (Satin Bourbon Burst)
