If you're a fan of 8-string guitars and passive humbuckers, then the Jackson Dinky DKAF8 is made for you! It has a stained mahogany finish with 24 jumbo fanned frets and uncovered Blade humbucker pickups. The mutli-scale length means that the string tension increases as the strings get thicker, which means that acoustically and electrically, the sound is tighter too. This type of scale length on a Fanned Fret Archtop improves the overall stability when playing riffs and chords and makes solo playing and string bending easier as well.
Dinky Archtop DKAF8: versatile
The two humbuckers have a knife-shaped magnetic core, which is why they're known as Blade pickups. They deliver a powerful output with more consistency than models with 8 round coils. The lack of pickup covers ensure that none of the definition from the acoustic sound is lost when amplified. The mahogany body with its eye-catching arched top produces a warm, well-balanced sound. The maple neck has stable scarf joints and a tasteful dark rosewood fretboard that together add a layer of punch to the tone without becoming overly bright. The DKAF8 is perfect for Djent but is also right at home in other heavier music styles like rock and metal. The 12 - 16-inch compound radius fretboard is another feature that makes those chords and solos easier to play.
