The budget-friendly JS Series by Jackson now contains the JS32-8 in a Quilted Maple Trans Black version. This JS32-8 Dinky allows guitarists to play on an eight-string guitar at a friendly price. Because of the extra range of ten half notes, you can play djent and other metal and rock styles. The scale of 26.5 inches keeps all strings in a stable tuning of low F flat and B. As such, you can perfectly use this Jackson Dinky for riffs in the style of Meshuggah and Animals As Leaders.

Because of the combination of wood types and pickups of this JS32-8, you're guaranteed a crushing sound with a punchy accent. The neck is made of maple and the top is made of stylishly quilted maple but the true core of the acoustic sound is formed by the basswood Dinky body. Two special Jackson humbuckers with a high output amplify the overall sound. Because of the jumbo frets and a compound radius, this guitar is perfect for chords, riffs as well as solos. Moreover, the fixed HT8 bridge provides extra stability and sustain.

Ik heb specifiek voor deze gitaar gekozen, omdat ik er goede verhalen over hoorde en ik niet te veel geld kwijt wilde zijn. Ondanks alle goede verhalen weet de gitaar me alsnog zeer positief te verrassen. De bouw kwaliteit is uitstekend, hij speelt fantastisch en klinkt geweldig! De hals heeft een lichte bolling, waardoor iedere snaar eenvoudig te raken valt. De gitaar biedt een uitstekende sustain en de klanken blijven heerlijk lang doorgalmen.
Enigst puntje van kritiek is de 8e snaar. Deze hangt te los, waardoor hij veel rammelt. Het is ook een enorme klus om deze te stemmen, aangezien de stem apparaten die ik getest heb, de bovenste snaar niet oppikken. Op gehoor is het echter ook niet eenvoudig door het vele gerammel. Toch is dit probleem eenvoudig te verhelpen door er dikkere snaren op te zetten. Met andere woorden: Het is een klein probleem en simpel te verhelpen. Ben je op zoek naar een betaalbare gitaar die dieper gaat dan kan ik je de Jackson js32-8q zeker aanraden!
