General

Take your pick from Jackson's X Series for the ultimate shredding guitar. This SLX LH Soloist is a gorgeous model in Trans Black finish and matching quilted maple top is a proud member of that series, and built for left-handed musicians. It features a thin body, a comfortable neck with a rosewood fretboard and the characteristic sharp headstock. You can tell this guitar was built for speed, and its Duncan Designed humbuckers and Floyd Rose Special tremolo bridge second that motion.

SLX LH Soloist Trans Black: warm and sharp sound

This model is made for shredding, that much is clear. Upon closer inspection of the Duncan Designed humbuckers, it's clear that high output combined with heavy gain is no problem for this guitar's pickups. The HB-102B is located above the bridge and the HB-102N is positioned at the neck, and both offer a wide range of sounds that are adjustable using the volume and tone knobs, as well as the three-way switch. A Floyd Rose Special bridge and tremolo allow you to make powerful dive bombs or reach staggering highs, while the Double Locking Nut ensures tuning stability.

Spicy performance

The neck of a guitar can really make or break your fast finger-work. Jackson has equipped the SLX LH Trans Black Soloist with a compound radius which means its quite narrow and rounded at the lower frets for easier riffs and chords, and the higher you go up the neck, the flatter and wider it becomes.. Playing solos and melody lines becomes virtually effortless with the Jackson SLX. To enhance playing comfort up near the 24th fret, the neck-through connection to the basswood body is formed to your hand so it doesn't get in the way of your playing.

NAMM 2016: Jackson Spoils Shredders and Metal Heads
