General
Jackson earned its claim to fame by deviating from the norm, and releasing cool-looking guitars that are specifically geared towards the heavier genres. The Warrior is a modern guitar that features sharp angles and a long horn facing upwards, which gives it a menacing look, primed for metal. The WR1 from the USA select series is a top-grade guitar with some of the best possible specifications including two Seymour Duncan humbuckers: the Invader humbucker and Full Shred humbucker work together to give the WR1 a tight, punchy sound, heavy overdrive and powerful leads. Furthermore, you can go crazy with wild tremolo effects without the guitar detuning, thanks to the Floyd Rose Original bridge. Of course, this is a real Jackson, complete with the sharp headstock and mother-of-pearl sharkfin inlays.
Jackson WR1 Warrior: Great Comfort
You might not expect it, but despite its extreme shape, the Jackson Warrior is incredibly comfortable to play. The long horn on the back allows you to position your right arm quite naturally, so you can play for long stretches of time without wrist fatigue. Solos will come flying off the fretboard with ease, as the neck-through construction makes even the highest frets easily accessible. Furthermore, the ebony fretboard features jumbo frets and a compound radius. The latter means the fretboard is quite convex at the headstock (12" radius), so that barre chords and open chords can be played comfortably. Near the body, however, the fretboard flattens out (16" radius), so that it's easy to perform string bends without any unwanted noise or note-death.
Jackson Guitars
The renowned American Jackson Guitars was founded by Grover Jackson in 1980 and gained fame with their V guitar for Randy Rhoads. These days, many famous guitarists go for a Jackson guitar because of their elegant shape, sharp headstock, sharkfin position markers and a powerful sound that's great for metal and hard rock. The USA series guitars' are Jackson's top-of-the-range models, and come with a deluxe case.
