While it definitely has firm roots in the Model 480, the Rickenbacker 480XC electric guitar is something utterly unique. This limited edition ode to 90 years of existence has been given a fully maple body to ensure supreme resonance and definition; checkerboard body binding; a Macassar ebony fretboard finished with crushed pearl position markers, and a fully defined character.
The 90th Anniversary 480XC: Fierce Twang
Rickenbacker have gifted the 480XC with a set of two passive Hot Wound 'Toaster' pickups that combine with the maple body to shape that unmistakably fierce, bright twang and clear resonance that Rickenbacker are known for. Departing with the original Model 480, the 480XC comes loaded with a stable, fixed Schaller bridge. It also comes complete with a Vintage Reissue Style case.
