General

Schecter is a household name in the world of heavier guitar music. The Hellraiser C-1 is a proper shredding monster, made to produce a powerful, fat sound that is excellent for anything from rock to metal. However, thanks to the split-coil function of the EMG humbuckers, it can also put forth the clearest cleans. Furthermore, the Hellraiser C-1 is real appealing to the eye, thanks to several luxury features such as mother-of-pearl inlays and a marvellous arched quilted maple top.

Schecter Hellraiser C-1: luxury features

Both the body and neck of the Hellraiser C-1 are made of mahogany, resulting in a very warm, deep tone with sweet mids. The neck is made of three parts to ensure extra strength and stability, whereas the top of the body is beautifully arched and adorned with a veneer of quilted maple. It has a stunning dark-red Black Cherry lacquer finish. To increase sustain, the neck is set into the body. The heel is as compact and flat as possible, to allow for better, more comfortable access tot the 24th fret.

Hardware and electronics

The Hellraiser C-1 features Schecter locking tuners for fast string changes and improved tuning stability. The bridge is a Tunomatic by Tonepros, which you can lock for even more sustain and tuning stability. Next to the Tune-o-Matic, you'll find an EMG 81TW humbucker that's aided by an EMG 89 humbucker pickup at the neck. This duo produces a powerful sound with high output, and both can be split to function as single coils as well, via the push/pull volume controls. All in all, the Schecter Hellraiser is a master of all trades.

Wrote the following about Schecter Hellraiser C-1 Black Cherry electric guitar

Het was een gok om zon prijzige gitaar via internet te bestellen, maar het was het zeker waard. De C-1 is een stevige gitaar die het vooral goed doet in de zwaardere muziekstijlen, mede door de EMG elementen. Prima hals, mooie body en een hele mooie sustain. De individuele schakeling van single naar humbucker is mooi meegenomen.
Houd er wel rekening mee dat de gitaar wel zwaar is.
